Upload a single or a set of .STL model(s) to the Pocket NC Software (aligner.pocketnc.com). Position the model on the fixture. The software will automatically modify the aligner model to adapt to the fixture on the trimming machine. Then draw a line around the model to determine the trim line. If you are processing multiple aligners you can copy this template to the rest of the aligner in the set and make small changes. Then download the .STL files and the trim line code. Drawing the line around one aligner typically takes around 60 to 90 seconds.
Next 3D print the .STL followed by thermoforming. Finally, mount the model onto the trimming machine.
Upload the trim file to the controller and then run the program to trim the aligner. This typically takes about 60-90 seconds to trim. Remove the aligner, do any slight buffing that is needed. Then the aligner is patient ready.
