The Pocket NC V2-50DA will be calibrated prior to shipment. You can perform the following check to ensure your Pocket NC V2-50DA will properly trim aligners. First, ensure that a tool is installed and the dental fixture is installed. Then upload the dentalCalibrationCheck.ngc file to the Pocket NC V2-50DA. Run the dentalCalibrationCheck.ngc program. The program will command your machine to travel 1/8" above the center of each of the front two spheres and hover there for 10 seconds each. It will then rotate the A axis 90 degrees, so the tool is pointing straight down the fixture and center the tool over the back two spheres (again, for 10 seconds each). At each position, the shaft of a spare tool or one of the dowel pins that align the dental fixture on the machine (both are 1/8" in diameter) can be gently compared with the gap between the tool and the sphere. It should not fit between the tool and the sphere, but it should be close. If it does fit, or it is a significantly smaller gap than 1/8", the Pocket NC V2-50DA may need to be calibrated or reconfigured (please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if this is the case).
